OUR Retreats
Descoverartists hosts a variety of art retreats designed to encourage artists to question and explore their creative processes. We strive to push the boundaries of what artists know foster inspiration, and facilitate discussions around art through cultural immersion. All artistic disciplines are welcome, and a community is formed where individuals can live and work together, sharing their knowledge while also learning from one another.
All our retreats aspire to become a friendly creative platform where people can coalesce as creatives to collaborate, create and inspire.
With an industry which stifles creativity and working together, we wanted to allow artists to extend their usual limits and immerse themselves into a completely collective way of living, enabling communal balance and drawing from the differences found within each artist and their methods.
The main focus of the retreats is collaboration and how the creative process can evolve and grow in an environment of working and living with other artists. We aim to create a space where artists feel free to experiment, collaborate, network, and engage with one another. We want to ensure that every member of the collective has something to contribute to the group and the experience itself.
Throughout the experience, every member will have the opportunity to propose ideas, discuss their work, provide feedback, and share their creative process in a flexible and relaxed environment. Descoverartists offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a dynamic, collaborative atmosphere that is accessible and inspiring to all.
The variety of environments provides opportunities not only for individuals to share their spaces and collaborate, but also for solitude and meditation to foster creativity. Along with accommodations, the retreats include workshops led by experienced professionals such as museum directors, accomplished artists, gallery owners, and other mentors who offer valuable insights and knowledge.
Descoverartists also offers stimulating experiences that keep artists physically active, such as group exercises and nature excursions. Additionally, it gives back to the community by participating in restoration and sustainability projects in the local Greek community.

Hydra has historically been a hub for artists, with painters, photographers, musicians, and sculptors congregating there for decades, making it the perfect place to network and be surrounded by fellow artists.
It is a small island in Greece overlooking the Argosaronic Gulf, with just 2000 inhabitants. It is mainly known for its rich artistic history, calm atmosphere, and breathtaking scenery. It is considered one of the most beautiful islands in Greece and is a destination for artists and lovers of romance and beauty.
The island is famous for its lack of vehicles, so the only means of transport are donkeys, sea taxis, or on foot. Several hikes offer stunning views of the island, and a selection of beaches with crystal-clear waters and a generally laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect island retreat.
