As you know, the retreat will provide your ferry tickets. A few days before the retreat, you will receive the booking information in your email and directions on how to check in and receive your boarding pass.
The port from which the ferry for Hydra departs is Piraeus Port (Usually Gate 8; that will be confirmed on your ticket). This is the pin for the E8 Gate: 37.94322360714305 23.643041085171234
You have three options to get to the port from the airport.
1. You could take a taxi directly to the port.
- Duration: 0:40 hr - 1:00 hr.
- Cost: 50-60 Euros
2. You could take a direct bus called “X96” that departs every 20-30 minutes.
- Duration: 1:00 hr - 1:30 hrs
- Cost: Around 6 Euros
3. Lastly, you can take the Blue Line metro from the airport (with direction to Nikaia) to Piraeus.
- Duration: 0:40 hr - 0:60 hrs
- Cost: Around 12 Euros
Let's just say it cutely: the ferries of Hydra are very Greek. There could be delays, cancellations, etc. Even though this will probably not happen during the summer, we advise you to leave plenty of time between your flights and the ferry.
As we prepare to welcome you soon, we want to ask you some questions to enhance your experience. If you do not have all the answers yet, please keep this form as a to-do list for the information we will need and submit it when you have the missing information.
