Cyanotypes and Sun printing

Cyanotypes and Sun printing

Cyanotypes and sun printing represent a creative, uncomplicated, and adaptable photographic printing technique that yields a distinctive and aesthetically pleasing blue image when photosensitive paper is exposed to light. The workshop will include a conversation on innovative uses of cyanotype, along with an introduction to various options and techniques for toning prints. Ahead of the session, participants will be requested to submit two photographs, which will be converted into negatives in advance, allowing them to produce their own photographic cyanotype print. Ample time and space will be provided for hands-on work and experimentation with the diverse styles that cyanotype printing facilitates. By the end of the workshop, attendees will depart with a collection of their personally crafted prints.
